VERY INFORMATIVE!
That just solidifies the fact that I had Septoria last year. That plus all the cankers in the fruit along with the fact that it was nearly impossible to get rid of (I still need to test the soil to see if I can grow anything in it yet)!

Thanks for posting the pics Mule! I had a bout of Septoria in my herb patch at the old house this year. I had taken cuttings to move with us before the appearance of the spots. I was concerned that the transplants would bring the disease with them, but thus far, they appear to be free of it.

My impression is that either problem can be dealt with by cultural control, i.e. clean mulch and keeping water from splashing, as you mention...neither have to be terribly destructive if managed, or is chemical intervention justified?
