T-posts are 5 dollars and change at Menards too. But I am thinking they are not near as sturdy as the "older" ones. I am pretty sure we have a few hundred out to the farm. And I can always search the miles and miles of fence-row for some. I could just take a chain saw and cut some too.

And I thought I had problems with only 40 tomato plants each year.... Blane don't let anyone tell you your rows are crooked.... free labor is free labor! Their just jealous! LOL! ..... My 11 year old grandson doesn't take criticism well (he takes after grandma )and as long as he puts the plants in the ground so it will grow, I brag on him..... get more free labor that way... I tried the wire at the top like in vineyards and bamboo poles between each plant and it worked well, but have finally settled on the crw in 5 ft height ... much much easier than weaving for only 40 plants each year and to hold them down during our high winds I ran a 20ft rebar through each cage on the row and used u-shaped rebar about 3ft long to staple to the ground this works well and is easy to set up and disassemble then in the fall ... I really enjoy hearing and seeing the setups you guys have that grow hundreds of plants each year.... keep it up.

Awesome set-up Hawk. What is the wood stakes, 3 x 3's? Length? What grade of lumber, and what was the cost of each? Did you pound them into the ground or dig holes? The reason I need to know is that if I get that exact lumber I want to know how much it costs. Any money I spend on the garden at the farm can go on the farm taxes; and that makes people happy.
