Does anybody have a source that I can buy those plastic plant identifiers in bulk for cheap? They are like $6.50 for 25 of them at a local garden center. That's $26.00 for 100! It's ridiculous!

Willie: Go to your local Value Village or equivalent, buy a set of plastic venetian blinds, cut them into 6" lengths and you are in business. I cut mine in bundles on my bandsaw, but you can cut them with a pair of scissors. I drill 1/4" holes in one end, so I can tie them in place = a ticket punch works for that too. You can write on them in pencil, ball point pen, or felt tip = any of these will last a season.

That's exactly what I was looking for HBP. And Grunt, I will try your suggestion also. It'll make me feel good to chop up [cut] some blinds. Terry

Cut some out of plastic food containers-these were made from 16 oz. sour cream containers, cut any size or shape and you can punch holes into them for tying. SDC11215 Attachments:

Terry I use white plastic spoons:) 25 spoons in a box for $0.79 each at the local grocery store here... You can write on the spoons with black permanent marker. A dry erase marker can be used to "erase" the permanent ink. There is a solvent in the dry erase marker that will remove the permanent marker, making the spoons reusable over and over again! Example:

I bet the dry erase marker would work on mine, too, since they're plastic. Figures, I just threw one away!

I bet the dry erase marker would work on mine, too, since they're plastic. Figures, I just threw one away! I bet it would work on all smooth surfaced plastic! When you get another dry erase marker, test it out by writing on the plastic, let it dry, and then rub the dry erase marker across the permanent ink writing... You will need a paper towel or rag to wipe off the dry erase marker. It should come off nice and clean.
