Every year I buy scallions and cut off the white part and tray them up. I get a few uses out of them since they just keep growing. You can really plant them close together. I have a lot of herbs in the house, but no other food crops. I tried Belgian Endive but it rotted under the black bags. I tried keeping pepper plants alive but it was too cold. My cats love trying to nibble on the scallions when they can get at them. That is Dempsey and Scout there.

Great idea. Never even thought of growing them indoors.

My granddaughter wanted to try to grow veggies indoors. This would be a good start, TY
