Rusalka got the impression by observing her 127s and others, that PL plants grow faster than RLs. She already has baby fruit on one of her PLs.

I didn't sow a lot, because the apartment is basically off limits this spring, but I managed to sow about 10 #127 and a couple (but not all) of Black Pear x Orange Strawberry crosses. There are a few sprouts and cotyledons, but it's too early to talk of sprouting percentages or true leaves.

This leaf type looks pretty typical of most the Kozula lines I planted. The fine/feathery leaves stand out in my flats.

One of the Polish forum members wrote, that # 132 (GWR) doesn't like fertilisers high in nitrogen, but nothing is conclusive, until we know Kozula's opinion.

I've only planted that tight once before and it made picking a bit of a chore. I had to do it this way in order to get this many plants in the ground.

i grow them even closer and prune to 2 stems, 1.5 feet in the row, then alternate 2 ft and 4 ft between rows, so essentially it's a double trellis per 4 ft bed with a wider walking row between beds. makes for a jungle, but feel the urge to get the most plants i can.

I just put my 500th plant in Thurs nite and hope to get 60 more in tommoro, my goal was 600, Just don't have the energy, I'll have to start stringing and getting some irrigation out next week. On a Kozula note, everythings growing good, #24, #133, #130 look the healthiest, All the other #s are beginning to move now with the warm weather, although we may get a week long cool down next week.

Something I thought you'd all find interesting - Over the last week late blight killed most of my tomato plants. The only ones still alive are my 18 kozula plants. They definitely have it but are holding up better than the rest. Unfortunately there's no fruit on them that is even close to ripe so I'll have no new seeds.

I am breaking out some Kozula seed from this batch. I will start with 132 because I got an oblong GWR with Pink bicolor that I thought was promising at the time. I wanted to name a saladette after my aunt Joyce but health problems have plagued me over these last years so I could not continue with these projects. I would only get one year of progress and have to stop. Now,in 2017, I will attempt to grow a few Kozula selections from back then when we first started these.
