Yes, this forum has a spelling check function.
Yes, your messages will be easier to read and appear a lot more professional when words are spelled correctly.
In order to use the spell checker, simply type out what you'd like to say, then click the SPELL CHECK BUTTON rather than immediately clicking the Post Message button.
Then stuff like "alot of tomatoe seads" will be intercepted with offers to substitute the correctly spelled werdz like "a lot of tomato seeds" and "words."
Just sayin' ...

Yes, professional. But you may be right. It's alarming how many professors, engineers and PhD-endowed "professionals" can't spell their way out of a wet paper sack. But then they have their lab techs and teacher's aides to assist their lame asses.

I made a similar suggestion on a couple of other forums in the past. Instead of members being embarassed about their poor spelling, I found instead that some who had only Lurked were encouraged to post with the aid of a Spell Checker.
Other than Darth who is Fearless and posts no matter what, I hope that Pap's post can encourage others to step up their posting with the help of technology.

Wasn't Quayle from Indiana? The Polish president made two spelling mistakes in his condolency message to Japan after the earthquake. I probably write more correct Polish than he.

when I speel incorrectally it's usually done because I'm lazy and don't care, I figure as long as who reads it knows what I'm sayin it rellay matters not how junkily it got spilled. Now my own puter has a spell caster bean and it's tellin me I mess this one up big time. I know gettin it right makes me look better edgukieghted, But tha's just surface stuff.

Thanks PVP for the attention to spelling. Using the spell check and attending to spelling would be most helpful when members try to do a search within the forum. If a specific word is misspelled then they probably won't find what they are looking for.

When you reply, you do it in a separate window, yes? In that window there is a spell check button next to the reply and preview button...
