I've been stumped so far in what to cross with the Captain. My concerns would be: 1) Something to increase productivity, if Capt. Lucky happens to carry the low production characteristic of Lucky Cross, and 2) Nothing that might lower the flavor profile, if Captain Lucky happens to carry the high flavor characteristic of Lucky Cross. Suze says the taste is up there, and the production is acceptable. Did I send you WildThyme GWR? If so, that might be a good parent for increasing the production without losing the tricolor expression. Of course you may lose the potato leaf in the F1. Another thought might be to add skin stripes maybe with Kozula #139 so you retain the green when ripe.

I have a F2 line with Lucky Cross as the pollen parent that should be segregating for earliness and stripes - that's another probable mating partner. WildThyme is a great idea also.
