I've been through Keith's fruit gene page, and the UC Riverside site, but I am still a bit confused about the genes pertaining to oxhearts and long pointy chilipeppers shaped tomatoes.
I am assuming Elongate gene is responsible for both oxhearts and the pepper shape (true?).
Where do the beaked and nipple genes come in? Is something like opalka from elongate + beaked (or nipple?)
And what makes for the difference between an oxheart and a elongate paste (meaty with small locules vs few large locules). Do the oxhearts have the fasciated gene?
I ask because I'm trying to understand my Kosovo x Green Sausage segregants.
