My dad had a 1950 royal blue Studebaker ton and a half truck that he bought used in 1952. He kept it until 1965 when he replaced it with a new GMC truck. From 1952, when I was 6 years old until 1964, the year I graduated from high school, we hauled several thousand bushels of tomatoes (mostly Big Boy hybrid) from our farm in Carroll County, Va to market in Winston-Salem, NC. Many days we would load it with over 100 bushel baskets of tomatoes. I have really fond memories of the Studebaker truck and growing up as I did on a small mountain farm. A few years ago I wrote a Bluegrass song entitled "Studebaker Days" that I often play on the guitar and sing. Thanks for this posting, Keith. Randy
