I wore a latex glove on my left hand while seeding some hot peppers this fall. After discarding that glove, I touched my eye and burned up. Must have had a defect. Yeah sure Strat..I've heard this story before...about 9 months before the stork arrives in the cabbage patch. Not with a Cabbage

Here....shoot....this threads been around long enough, grab my Pole! No Bhuts under 3 feet allowed! LOL......somebody sent me a Pm in (that other site) askin for peter peppers.....Where are those things?. I lost Track! Im good for 2 seasons on hot peppers. No need to waste garden space, as the main focus will be on the Warlords tomato seeds, handed down to me, to grow out..... Anyway Enjoy the last Bhut will grow for a few years to come! Blane, Down boy! Easy on those peppers. I mean if you can get two seasons out of a plant, then I think you need to show them R-E-S-P-E-C-T....

Why deal with the pain? I think its an endorphine thing similar to what you get after hard exercise. Its hard to understand at first when the pain tends to ruin the food for you, but then you get over some kind of hump and crave it to some degree.
I don't understand the people who need to ruin good food by putting vinegary tasting hotsauce on everything. There are ways to increase heat without altering flavor, but they are not readily available from the supermarket shelf.

I like the vinegary hot sauce, in reasonable amounts. I also like mustard powder to make sauces that folks can dip into or add to their food individually. In households where there are folks who like varying amounts of heat in their foods, it is the only recourse.
My son just brought me a bag of peppers, they look like jalapenos but they have almost no heat at all. Is that a Tam mild jalapeno? Or a Fooled you pepper? Does anyone know?
He gets his seeds off of food that he eats, salads, sandwiches etc. And grows awesome plants.

There is a restaurant that features ghost peppers once a year and what they give people that can't handle the heat is an ice cream sandwich so that would be my recommendation

[ Go to a drug store, get you some latex gloves and wear them the next time your dissecting hab's. Where do I wear them, Over my head? Why yes! Put it over your head till it covers your nostrils. Inhale through mouth, exhale through nose till you have a giant 5 fingered balloon! Hopefully you'll wear them on your hands. *Keeps fingers crossed*
