Ornamental peppers, oddball tomatoes like Stick, japonica striped corn, florence fennel, fava beans, tomatillos are some of the things we've planted in the front yard. There are also the wading pools full of peppers and determinate tomatoes on the driveway.

Oh, yes. In the ground-dozens of tomatoes, some peppers, small amounts of peas and beans, a circle of Triple Play sweet corn, Catawissa onions and some Lemon Balm and St. John's Wort that moved in.
On the lawn and along the edge of drive-loads of containers with tomatoes and peppers.

I love that Mulio .....i'd like to plant some things in my front yard, but my worry is that i live on a busy street with 2 schools, that it would be a huge temptation, and stuff would be gone . Heck, i even have issues with my neighbors on one side, who last summer, reached over the fence and picked some peppers, out of my raised flower box, and then claimed they knew nothing about it , when it could have only been them .........sooooooooo this year, i am planting all of my Bhuts next to the fence ......have at'er

Penny, I plant in my front yard and told my neighbors that if they see anything they want, help themselves. The front yard veggies are free.

Nah, I live in a very nice neighborhood, people are great. When I am hobbled up. my neighbor mows my weed patch for me. I suspect they do not like the peppers. I may put some big maters out there this year.

Here's 2003 when it exploded. I also have the elementary and high school kids going by. Sometimes I have Red Savina Habanero sentries in the front row on either end of the four o'clocks.

Strat, that yard shows a lack of restraint.

Stratcat, where are you? If our overly anal-retentive neighbour saw our yard looking like that, he'd have us locked up by the city. You're not allowed to have free spirit yards in Canada.

No, you're right, that would be a huge no no here in Ontario.
