Hi, I live in nebraska. Im new here. Im Diana. I love to garden and of course, love tomatoes. I garden every spring in a community garden around the block from where I live. I am new at growing tomatoes. I never knew there were so many different kinds of them. Im delighted to have found this tomato forum site. I want to grow as many different kinds of amish tomatoes as I can find.

welcome from northwest Connecticut. the most popular pink brandywine strain seems to be sudduth. there are many variations and crosses that have used brandywine as a parent floating around.
i grew a small fruited tomato called amish salad last year. it yielded lots of pretty pink tomatoes, but their flavor wasnt as good as some other small pink tomatoes i grew.

Welcome from another Nebraskan (not a Husker, a Hawkeye transplanted to NE.). We have a get together of other tomato growers every year in Lincoln in August. Our group called Mid-west Tomato Fest, is an informal, friendly sharing of tomatoes (all comers welcome tomatoes or not) and general gardening. We generally have between twenty and fifty people and 50-70 tomato varieties to taste and discuss. An invitation is hereby extended and hope to see you in Aug. Details will be posted in July sometime.
Many of us are active both here (a great site, by the way) and at tomatoville.com (hope it's OK to mention that site). The members are a good source of help for both the new grower and the seasoned veteran. Welcome to the "Garden".
