Mule great pictures. Everything looks good. What row spacing do you use? Just curious. Jay

Built two new raised beds this spring, each of them 4' x 16'. Last year was such a challenge, trying to grow a garden in this rocky soil of southwest Missouri. Coupled with the drought and 30+ days over 100°, led to the worst garden I've even grown. The one thing that you might think would have destroyed my garden here in Joplin, did no damage at all.
I was able to get things started a bit early this year, because of the warm spring. I've been picking some tomatoes, eggplant, and lots of zucchini. Haven't picked any peppers or cucumbers yet, although I have quite a few of each set. My pole beans are blooming. That was the last thing I planted in the garden.
I have the materials to build two more raised beds. One will be for more vegetables, and the other for strawberries. I'll start building them soon, and maybe I'll use them this fall. Should I wait until next spring to plant the strawberries or can they be planted in the fall?
I also planted some blackberries this year. They're doing real well.

Those look and sound good, Mule! I am growing Sun Gold and Sun Sugar for the first time this year.
Thursday, I saw some color on the Sun Sugar already. Mom picked up the plant in the Upper Peninsula a month ago when she was on vacation. It hasn't been in its container very long. I'm almost done planting tomatoes and peppers...

Today (26 June) had my first two ripe Sun Sugar from the plant Mom bought in May. I don't see any fruit on my plants I started yet. I planted a few more tomatoes.
On the 22nd, I saw a robin eating my 1st Black Raspberry. He had that guilty look. Today, I picked almost a quart for the freezer (for wine).
On the 25th, I took 2 eggplants, 12 peppers and 14 tomatoes to my friend's. We got them planted before dark. Today, I dropped off 6 peppers and an eggie at another friend's.
I'm almost done planting...

MULE! I know you breed tomatoes, but isn't this a little bit over the line? We don't need to see the genitalia.

When the temp gets to 105 and above, I generally don't do much in the garden until late evening or very early morning. We are cooling down a bit. Temps over the next week are forecast to be in the 80's and very low 90's.
I'm harvesting tomatoes for seed at a rate of about 100 pounds per day. It gets monotonous and definitely rough on the back.

Looks very nice. The clear skin helps make the orange tones more subtle, which is good.
I don't think I have (knowingly) tasted a Del tomato.
