GardenFrog,
I took the Purdue Extension MG course in Evansville in 2008. Where are you taking it?
The subject of crossbreeding tomatoes in the home garden never came up as a course subject.
Where are you in the course? It's like 13 or 16 weeks long, if I'm remembering correctly. Each week was a structured part of the program ... soil science, plant nutrition, turf development, pests, etc. Plant breeding was only mentioned in passing and more on the commercial variety end of things if I remember right.
Just curious if they structure the program differently in other Indiana counties.
