Hi All,
I've been lurking for a while and just got around to joining. You may know me as SpicedHam from GW. Spike sent TZ to Disneyland for spamming the orchid forum a while back and so I had to sign up under a new name, hence "SpicedHam".
I've been collecting OPs for a couple of years now and have my favorites so I'm at the point where I'm not that excited about trying many more. Instead I am playing around a bit with making crosses and growing out some bee induced crosses.
The bees went to town on my Lime Green Salad a couple of years ago, so I have up to nine crosses from that. I'm also fiddling with a black LGS F2 dwarf x Fuzzy Wuzzy, Kosovo x Green Sausage, Kosovo x [LGSxGS], DeBarao Gold x GS, and Brandywine x Black Krim (Although I think a cherry got to it first)
Anyway,
Glad to be here,
TZ

Glad you made it tz. Those really sound like some interesting crosses. I like the Kosovo x [LGSxGS]. A dwarf heart would be quite interesting.

Thought I'd jump in and join the fray. I'm from Ohio{10 min. from J.M. Smucker Company} and learned about this forum from IDigg. Have been growing food as a kid with my family for years. But in the past 3 years been going at it on my own with Heirloom tomatoes and organic veggies.

Thanks for the welcome, Everyone.
I had no idea Smuckers was from Ohio, and when I looked it up I had no idea where that town was, and I'm only two counties south west. I blame the education system in the Reagan era, and beer.

I blame the education system in the Reagan era, and beer. Can't say I blame ya tz. Smuckers is not what it touts to be. Gelatin gets shipped via rail cars. Every time I visit that town {5 min drive to the south east} tanker rail cars lined up with gelatin. Sure does take away from the "homemade"claim. Nice to meet you regardless of your education or political status ;D.

Howdy folks, been lurking for awhile and finally decided to join. Another Buckeye here, Cleveland to be exact, hence the name neoguy (Northeast Ohio guy). I've been gardening on a city lot for over 20 years. About 5 years ago I got a couple of plots at a community garden so I picked up another 1,000 square feet. About that time I learned about OP tomatoes and my interest has continued to grow. I grow about 50 plants, about 25 varieties each year now. Oh, yes we do grow other veggies.
