Poor Ursula being sent to the corner in favour of tomatoes There are about 900 brown bears in Slovakia and only 80 in Poland. Here they are protected, but there is a hunting season in Slovakia, and yearly about 10% are culled. That is probably not a poblem to the total population, but Polish nature-lovers are concerned because all Polish bears live in two separate areas adjacent to the Polish-Slovakian border: Tatra, the highest part of the Carpathians, and Bieszczady, an eastern Polish Carpathian region. European brown bears are not cute, and they probably belong to the same species as grizzlies.

Did Ursula do this to ProBoards? : Oh no! Due to an angry bear we were unable to display this page. It looks like there are too many connections to our servers at this time.

Hehe and a giant can of glade..she fears glade spray!! But she isnt usually indoors ever. When I was a kid I remember going camping at Interlochen. We would drive our Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser with a 350 rocket in it down to the dump [at night] and sit and watch the bears come and feed. That was in the mid seventies.

I can throw a stone at the music camp from Revs front porch. Rev lives right there. Whoa! that's freaky. I was like 9 or 10 and I distinctly remember people getting out of their vehicles to get closer to the bears. This was like at dusk until after dark. Luckily for guys the bears ran off instead of getting ticked off. Yea, Ursula is a once in a lifetime friend. A guy that lives over by my uncle David had a black bear as a pet for years. I think the County made him get rid of it because it attacked him or somebody and mauled them pretty bad. Can't remember. I'll have to ask my uncle. Anyway, she's priceless. Gonna' have to start calling you Grizzly Adams or something catchy like that.
