Hey if it starts with SPUD it can only be from one place!! thats right the legendary SpudLeaf Willie!! A.K.A Bill Malin. And here is one of his Babies...The Spudatula!! A magnificent example if I do say so...and I do.

Darth, right you are as they don't get much better than Spudatula. Grew last year and production and taste were out there. Ami Attachments:

Nice, very Nice!! Keep those pics comming guys. This one has such a great flavor, I grow Black from Tula also...but this one seems to taste better than its RL counterpart.

Sounds like a "must grow" for 2011.

According to Tatiana(s Tomatobase) there are no commercial sources for Spudatula, but maybe that's about to change.

Gunnar/Soren, if you want seeds for Spudatula let me know. Ami It is definately on my "to grow" list, but I am already pushing my garden space to the limit next year ;D But I will save a place for it in the greenhouse in 2012, along with all the other varieties I want to grow but don't have room for next season (like the Spudayellow Strawberry, Lillian Maciejewski's Poland Pink, the two Grandpa's ect. ect....)

Their website is not updated for 2011 yet, but Adam Gleckler posted the list of new varieties for 2011 on Tomatoville.

Darth,
When you have time, ask Spud the history of Spudatula. You might find it interesting.
