So, what's the difference between Orange Minsk and Belarus Orange?
They both come to U.S. via Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus.

So, what's the difference between Orange Minsk and Belarus Orange? They both come to U.S. via Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus. pv Belarus Orange was renamed from the variety orange-1 which Andrey did distribute seeds for. I saw that Belarus orange one, went to the seed site and saw that the person got it from Lisa at Amishland, as I remember, so that's how I know it's Orange-1. When Andrey first wanted to distribute seeds in the US he contacted me and asked if he could trade seeds with SSE itself and asked me who to contact. That didn't work out. Then, without knowing anything about Lisa he sent her some varieties, orange-1 was one of them and Andrey is so upset that he did that now that heknows what he knows. Orange-1 is a det with small orange globe fruits while Orange Minsk is indet with large orange beefsteaks and is one of the best varieties that Andrey has ever sent to me. Darth, had I seen your request here for Orange Minsk I would have sent you the seeds, but I didn't see it. And it looks like most of the folks offering you seeds either got it from my free seed offer at Tville or perhaps from my SSE listing. Sometimes it's hard to tell when and if folks change user names, but some I know as they are. Carolyn

Thank you carolyn, I just hope they are better than some of my proven oranges, I really liked persimmon..it was big and had good flavor, Amideutch sent me Maylor Roths and I hear great stuff about that one also.

Thank you carolyn, I just hope they are better than some of my proven oranges. I thought that I messed up badly in "The Arctic Experiment", but it wasn't that bad, I just happened to mention Orange-2, which may not exist, and basically Darth set everything straight.

You will like Bursztyn from the seed bank seeds. Usually 3-4 oz, but loaded with fruit and good tasting. Also Russian Persimmon is really good for me - more so than Persimmon. Coastal Pride Orange is a dwarf type that has great flavour. Not the heaviest producer, but still worth growing. All are in the seed bank seeds.
