So...ya don't think I have the spudyellow? In the case of this plant ...
... no, I'm very apprehensive to say you have SpudaYellow Strawberry in this seedling.
In the case of this plant ...
[/quote] ... absolutely no, you do not have SpudaYellow Strawberry in this seedling. In the case of this plant ...... the jury is still out deliberating.
Well, how much room do you have in your garden? If you have plenty of room to grow out unkown stuff, go ahead and grow them all three out, and see what you get. Might prove interesting. I'm assuming you got seeds from Darth? If so, they were either from his grow-out, from my grow-out, or from Spudleaf Willie's original seeds. I never got anything like what you show in the top photo, however it is not impossible that what you show is the result of cross pollination in my garden. Hense, possible F1 seedling. It is not probable, however, that the smooth leaf PL is either an F1, but it is possible it may be an F2, but I am not going to claim it as my F2 until I trial start about 32 seedlings from the same batch of seeds I shared with Darth, to see if I get a couple or three PLs. I can't answer for Darth's results. Maybe he can tell you if he ever saw variations from his saved seeds. I can tell you that I've started several seedlings from the seeds Spudleaf Willie sent me a few years ago, and I never saw any variation from the leaf form I showed you in this picture: And that's what you should look for in future starts, and keep an eye on that one seedling to see if it developes mature leaves with the distinct shape ... long, narrow, sharply pointed leaflets with the 3 characteristic "hay saw" teeth on each side back at the fat part of the leaflet. Note: I'm sorry about all the scraps of this, that, and the other still found in this post. I'm distracted today by phone calls, and have tried to edit this damned post a half dozen times. I'm totally out of time and patience. But I think the basic idea is conveyed.

Okay, this thread is really starting to intrigue me. I can see the difference in Pap's 90 degree leaf edges versus Michelle's 100-110 degree edges. And I am most curious to see what that Potato Leaf plant produces.
Lurking and waiting...

Hey, I thought I sent you some? I am almost sure I did!! If you did I misplaced them ! Possible with the craziness surrounding my job, but I found the Kozula's. I'd have to wait until next year anyway-I'm growing way more than I have room for now. BTW, D-man, it's official-Big Ben's engaged.

Well...does anyone have the real spudyellow strawberry that I can grow?
And I'll keep all informed on the progress of the other 3.

Looks pretty good, Bama. You got seeds from me. Michelle got seeds from me. Same envelope. I only have one envelope full of those seeds. Sent half to Darth. Can't figure out what the deal is with the smooth edge PL leaf that Michelle got. I don't think my seeds are an F2 from cross.

The angle on Spud's leaves are definitely a sawtooth shark pattern at 3 o'clock & 9 o'clock; but Paps leaves are basically the same but at 10 o'clock-11 o'clock and 1 o'clock & 2 o'clock. Both seem to have 3 main "teeth".
Two of Twenty seeds of Spudayellow Strawberry sprouted today... finally!
