It has come to my attention that even though we allow others to come to our site, anyone who is a member here is scrutinized and must do the eggshell boogie when they are at others. Here at TTG, know that your PMs will not be read and we consider your privacy. We do not advocate a hateful environment because one is from another site, it takes a lot to get banned from this site, we are not so insecure in these matters, what is in ones mail box is not my concern. Blane, if you want to try the 6 lb Giant good, make sure you send me some so I can be a victim of PT Barnum also, however, whoa to those people that scoff if even I get one of 4 lbs. I will make sure to put extra coarse grade salt to those wounds!! In closing, if you keep getting your nose slammed in the door, stop doing it!! come to a place where your ideas are a credit and you insight is a not considered flatulence........... ;D P.S Steve, I can not allow you to say what you really wanted to. Hopefully, the substitute will give the same effect.

I second what Darth had stated as well. I think anyone can have a "bad day" online, things get misconstrued etc etc. Things happen, we're human.
However, I notice a real junior high "clique" mentality among the "popular kids" on some other sites.
& it's just that - systemic, juvenile, shaming, sarcastic, and de-valuing - not the way another peer should be treated in the pursuit of tomato nirvana.
Heck, it's not a way to treat to anyone ever. Anywhere.
Even though this is the "bad boys club" *supposedly* (I think it's more Darth's wishful thinking than anything else LOL) - and I'm neither a boy, nor bad - I've been treated with respect and courtesy here. Kudos to you all.

So, are you guys saying that it is Marvin Meissner who is selling the seeds for what he's calling "Six Pound Monster?" If so, why not be clear about it? If not, exactly who is selling those seeds? Where is a picture of a 6-lb. tomato grown from those seeds in past years? Are you just buying those seeds on faith? Reason I ask is because several years ago, Marvin used to post on GardenWeb (lubadub) with his claims of giant pumpkins, tomatoes, etc., and some story about him calling on Mr. Graham's widow asking for seed from that world record Delicious, but then he never responded to anyone I know when they tried to obtain seeds. So, is he selling them now or is this someone else?

Not sure Bill.... I went out on a wild limb- Got the seeds from Organica Seed- I will say this much, they sent way more than 10 per pack. The connection between Marvin Meisner and this company is not known (by me, anyway)...But if you find something out later on, please let us know! Thanks Pap!

But don't forget to gow some other potential monsters too. And there's nothing wrong with buying seeds from Remy's shop: sampleseeds.com/

Ya got that right. Pleez let it be 6 lbers x 6 per plant Bare Minimum. Anything big enough will do... Winning some "Giant Tomato" contest (eg. at IDig) would be nice.
