Darth,
Didn't you say that this size was the staple of your business? If this is so, have you tried selling this variety to see how it would do? Will you have seed available for next season?

I am growing a cross of this PPPxPP. And yes size is important but they will usually take what I bring in, however they prefer medium sizes.

Here is a nice PL. Almost everyone agrees this one is a PL, well that being said notice that the leaves are not smooth edged. As with alot of the PL leaf forms at maturity. Green Giant is also clear skinned which makes it extremly hard to tell if it is ripe or not. I wonder if there is a site that deals with different forms of tomato leaves. Any input would be welcomed.

This is the only site I've ever come across that has leaf scan pictures of some tomato vareieties. Just click on the variety name. wintersown.org/wseo1/Tomato_Leaf_Scans.htmlI know this is not what you are looking for though....

Here is the PL version of Black From Tula. Spudatula. Darth, Is the photo an accurate representation, in your opinion, of the color? That really looks like a nice dark maroon red. Cheers, Kevin

That is pretty much how they looked when I grew them, very dark and a little darker than Black From Tula RL.

This is my first year growing BFT, and so far they all look PL to me-but they only have a few true leaves so far....hmmm.

I am in the process of gathering information... I am finding some interesting facts! I will post my findings soon... I will start a new thread called "RL and PL shape variations"
