My guess is the stripes correspond with the flesh in the ribs between the locules, and the sepal locations are coincidental. That was my first thought but it looks to me that it is showing in the middle of the each locule and not in the rib between each of them. I saw this Fs pattern express heavily on the below pic of cherokee purple last season. Clearly in the ribbing between locules. Interesting. The parent plant was one of a hundred or so F2 atv/atv progeny and quite frankly I was just looking at early indication of Aft, not expecting or looking for differences in patterns of anthocyanin accumulation associated with fruit stripes - so I'll be learning this year too.

Have Blane cut off the sepals on half the fruit and compare to the other half with the sepals left whole. Will do- You did notice in that last pic I put up, that one of the fruits sepals were standing straight up? That caught my eye- wonder why they did that?

I think Im down to 15 or so, I lost a couple in my new lot, and some have 0 antho in them- and might I add, these are not the easiest to emasculate!
