I have 2 unidentified plants, one is an invasive weed. Does anyone recognize either?

Yes, mother of thousands, I would have to look up the botanical name. Is it possible that the top pic is one of the magnolia species? Offhand, I can't recall any houseplant that resembles it.

UBC Botanical Garden Forums also has a good plant ID forum: www.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=38 Someone at that site would know for sure. (First pic looks like a Schefflera to me too, and they are noted as invasive weeds in Florida, which fits with the story.)
