I'm not sure if this will work for you. It probably depends on what mites and your weather.
This year because of the hot dry weather we have had some problems with the 2 spotted spider mites. It seems there are only a problem in dry weather. We actually didn't see the damage til the predator mites were already there the population of bad ones had gone down.
But I think what really dropped the population was the fact that we finally got some heavy rains and cooler weather.
While you can't do much about heat, have you tried to do anything with a hose to mist or outright blast them ?? I don't know if it will help but it might be worth trying til your next plants are ready.
