I wonder if it would be worthwhile creating subforums for edibles now before the general edible forum gets to large. Possible ideas: Peppers Legumes Roots ... Just a thought. thanks, Dean

Thanks for the suggestion Dean. I can tell you that the moderators have been discussing this quite a bit and for now have decided to stick with what we have. This can be revisited if growth and posts warrant more sub-forums.
I am hoping most people will post their subject edible in the title to make searches more useful. I am not winning that quest for now.

What I would like to have considered is when a thread about whatever subject or veggie develops to the point of having very valuable info, that thread should be made a sticky so it doesn't fall off the end of the earth. Because it is likely we will lose some of the better threads because of our desire to keep the categories simple ... that will cause many dozens of threads per category. Just sayin ...

Yep, no more boards for now. As landarc eluded to, people need to be more concise with their thread subject lines. What I would like to have considered is when a thread about whatever subject or veggie develops to the point of having very valuable info, that thread should be made a sticky so it doesn't fall off the end of the earth. Because it is likely we will lose some of the better threads because of our desire to keep the categories simple ... that will cause many dozens of threads per category. Just sayin ... That would eventually lead to an entire first page of topics in each forum of stickied threads. In my opinion, that is what the search feature is for.
