This year I grew out some of her cherries and breeding lines, but they were all (?) killed by late blight before they could fruit. I definitely got a couple of fruit from no. 13, a red elongated cherry, and some of the seeds were even saved, if they will ferment and dry correctly, but now after the first frost the plants are of course gone:

Kozula has finished this year's work (she is a market grower as well) and stated what will happen to her seeds (most will be distributed in Poland). Her list will appear shortly (and I will translate it and post it here) There will "only" be 19 positions, as she has few GWR with stripes etc, but there are plenty of "megatrusses" (cherries), pinks and darks, and I guess most will find something they like.

tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/LiguriaI think the above page of Tania's should help sort out the names of some of the large ribbed Italian OP varieties. Liguria is also known as Albenga as you can see on that page. I think it was a year ago or so that there was a very long thread at Tville talking about the various ribbed large ones, not the Costolutos, and much of it came up in reference to the Piriform one that Johnny's had introduced. And then there was another big thread at idig when it turned out that what they and several others were offering for German Red Strawberry was not GRS, or an upside down one, if you will, and the seed supplier was traced back to Italy. Idig and Reimers and Territorial are some of those I remember who were also offering it as Cour di Bue, which is wasn't either. Me thinks there's some major confusion with some of the Italian seed suppliers as to what they call what they send out. Bill at Grow Italian deals directly with Franchi and has for years and does offer correctly named varieties. One is called Franchi's Large Red Pear, which is also a piriform, or pear shaped fruit/ Hope that helps, somewhat. Carolyn

It's best to look at the new thread (Kozula's Tomato Seeds for 2011), and it may be possible to get seeds for the one in post #20, if that is the same as #24 in the list. No tomatoes have names yet, because they are not quite stable (F3-F5), but I would refer to #24 as Kozula Striped Violet.

It will be best, if everyone in the US gets seeds from Darth, but I'm still waiting for #36 before I send the lot, and there may be too few seeds (~20) of #139 for everyone to get some. Besides I need to write to Darth, what text is on #18, because that's only in Polish. Most other packets except the green ones (#132 and #139) have the numbers on them, so they are readily recognizable.

Gunnar, I have not been home yet, do I have this one? People will be asking, And can you show pictures of the ones available. I noticed you have alot more crosses on the previous posts am I also getting those? I don't know exactly, but if it is #24, the answer is yes, and all violet/purple with green stripes are similar (also #125 and #130). I sent 17, and you will still get #139 (green "zebra"), and they should all be in the other thread (http://thetomatogarden.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=breeding&action=display&thread=837), most of them with pictures. Many of the new tomatoes are from the first batch of breeding lines, Pink with tolerance to Fusarium x Copia, and all are semi-stable F3-F5, Kozula didn't want to play around with new crosses this year.

Happy New Year!
This is a tomato from last season (2009), a green-striped purple one. I hope Kozula will make seeds available and maybe post a list later. Gunnar, I need to know which one the striped one is in this pic...what number. This is the one most requested. Thankx, Darth I searched the thread where I copied the link to this picture from. Apparently Kozula deleted it, but not from her album, as the link still works. This was last year, so the tomato or its seeds are not in this winter's distribution, but any tomato that's violet/purple or "black" with green stripes may be a sibling or closely related. As these are not completely stable yet, anyone can save seeds from the tomato they like best for taste and looks. Pay special attention to #24,125,126,130.

This is a photo by Smonika, one of the volunteers (in Polish Ĺ“wistak, marmot because it always looks busy) who will distribute the seeds within Poland. The same picture as before, but now with "variety" names: Malinowa Zebra on the first picture is #137 or possibly #138 from Kozula's list, and Fioletowe Zebry on picture three #24 or #130.
