Yes ladies and gentleman you heard it here first!! Only at TTG!! Papa Vic aka G.G.G has got his own book of tomatoes, that's right a book of his own!! I had to go and buy one for all the stuff he has sent to P.K.S Heirlooms!! Although seed is not available to the public, a little bribing and groveling wouldn't hurt a thing, not to me... but to Pap!! Hehehe. Like all politicians a little grease on the palm may work wonders!!!

Cool!!!!!!!! That so neat!
I see the seeds are being stored in brown coin envelopes. Is that better than the plastic seed baggies?
Hahahahha. I don't whine either, I just talk and talk and talk until somebody throws seed at me to shut up, then I too busy planting and trying to care for it to runs the jaws. ; )

I also put desicant in the books.

I've used coin envelopes for years with ZERO problems. I don't like the plastic envelopes. And I don't like to put them in the refrigerator either. Room temperature and controlled (somewhat) humidity are the best in MHO. The books with binders are probably better than my coffee cans however, where did they come from, do you know?

I'm with you Tom. I can't stand those wee plastic baggies b'c the seeds get caught up in the zip lok part and at least for me it's hard to get seeds in there and get them out. So I've been using #1 coin envelopes to send seeds out since about 1990. In terms of storage of my stock seeds they are either in vials or regular envelopes and stored at ambient temps and humidity and where I live and garden that hasn't been a problem with seed viability at all. I can offer 6-10 year old seed stored that way and there's still good germination, except I and a few others have found that seed for heart varieties doesn't seem to last as long. My current record for waking up old seed in 22 yo seed but the documented record is waking up 50 yo seed when the germplasm at the Cheyenne, WY precursor to a USDA station was moved from Cheyenne, where seeds were stored in a filing cabinet, to the new USDA station in Ames, IA. I really need to get my seeds under control. They are baseball card holders. You might find the in a department store or even an office supply, but surely a specialty baseball card place. I found them in a bargain store; they were cheap, but some pages were incompletely formed.

Sorry Strat for not getting back, I misunderstood which you were refering to. I did indeed get those at a baseball card shop 100 for 16 bucks, these are very well made. the coin envelopes are #1s. And slide easily in and out. The books have zippers on the sides and were purchased at Walgreens.

Hey, Darth! No problem. I was calling those 9 Pocket Page Protectors a binder. I'm losing it...
I see Amazon has some.
Thanks for the additional info.
