Here is an interesting visual on size segregation. These are from the Wagner T-4 X Dora F2. All were planted on the same day and received the same amount of light. What brought the short stocky genes to this mix?

What brought the short stocky genes to this mix? I got Wagner T4 from SSE, and it was an odd beast - shiny/waxy epidermis, red w/ gold stripes. Odd looking fruit, but tasty. I'm pretty sure it was a shorter stature plant, but I can't confirm from my 2009 notes. I'm surprised you are seeing this much variation in plant size though.

I think Tom has a penchant, or mad-scientist gene, for growing maters that are specifically geared for his Pacific North West climate. If you read between the lines in what he writes you can readily see this.
