Brotherhood? Inner circle? How did I get left out of this one too. I don't recall a discussion about a Brotherhood. I do have dark chocolate, but, I ain't sharing.

Good and safe journey to you all, both ways. I'm not member of any "brotherhood" either, but I don't feel left out in any way. ;D

Carolyn, just how much chocolate is it going to take to bribe persuade you to stay on here? It's not so much the quantity, rather the quality of the dark bittersweet chocolate that's important to me. And please remember that I have to be NOT nice, but BAD to even be worthy of that chocolate. So starting tonight I guess I have to think about the various avenues to badness, as it were. ;D Carolyn

I got Darth on the phone. They're parked in a McDonalds somewhere in southern Michigan. And he says he thought you'd already been bad enough to get an automatic recruitment into the Dark Empire, which comes with a lifetime suppy of chocolate which will be shipped directly to you from Plantsville, Connecticut.

And he says he thought you'd already been bad enough to get an automatic recruitment into the Dark Empire, which comes with a lifetime suppy of chocolate which will be shipped directly to you from Plantsville, Connecticut. pv Let me get this straight. Darth controls all entries into the Brotherhood which I'm not eligible for, being a female, despite the fact that my last name is Male, so he's making an exception and now allowing females to join the new BroSis inner circle? And he feels I've been bad enough when I didn't even get a chance to exhibit how bad I can be? And a lifetime supply of chocolate from Plantsville, CT? Well, since I'll be 72 in June my lifetime in terms of chocolate years won't be that long so there's a money savings right there. So I went to Google and looked to see if there were any chocolate places in or near Plantsville, CT and much to my surprise there are . ;D www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=chocolate+plantsville+CT&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=CBsp9gbAETY3CM4GcggSI2429CQAAAKoEBU_QOtQ1I know the Bridgewater one, they're the ones that first offered chocolate lace, but unless Darth is independently VERY wealthy, Bridgewater is great but off limits cost-wise to most folks, but I don't know the other places at all. I suppose Darth could do a few fundraisers or could solicit donations from folks like you PV, who are already members of the inner circle, etc. Rest assured that I will not depend on an extra source of my kind of chocolate so will continue to purchase it where I normally do. And I'm also assuming that Bob will do as he said and NOT share any of his chocolate stash. Except my blood glucose is running higher than I like so I have to cut off chocolate eating no later than 6 PM every day. And there are no more tennis matches to watch, which is important to know b'c that's when I do most of my noshing, well, there is the charity one with Federer and Nadal playing close to Xmas and then we get the Australian Open in mid January and then the special exibition one at Madison Square Garden on Feb 28th where Aggasi , McEnroe, Lendl and Sampras are playing. And then the season starts in full swing and I'll be there for all of it, sitting in my recliner and watching. ;D Carolyn, still hoping the trek to NM and back goes OK.

Oh man, talk about the worst day to be taking a trip. Weather is horrible thru the whole midwest. There isn't any rain in Ind unless it's the FREEZING kind. Even worse.
We came home from Grand Rapids Mi last Dec the day after a storm. But because of the strong winds off Lake Michigan, the lake effect snow along that route was horrid. Slow and full of accidents.
I also know first hand that Indiana can be awful at getting their roads cleared after storms.
Today might be a good time for most of us to just curl up with the seed catalogs and dream of better weather.
I know I'm not going out of the house if I don't absolutely HAVE to. I have germination tests I can set-up and plenty of work I should do on my web site. And a couple of orders to get made up for whenever I can get out to the post office.
Hopefully the road trip crew stays safe.

Where the hell is plantsville, CT? In the link I gave above it shows approximately where Plantsville, CT is, but in Googling I also found that a place called Southington, or similar, was located right next to Plantsville, if that helps/ Carolyn

Guess Darth & Rev made it to Paps last night, wonder if they gettin snowed in? Nope. Last evening I called and they were still somewhere in southern Michigan parked at a McDonalds while Rev caught a nap. He'd been up since 4 a.m., and that was sometime around 6 or 7:00 p.m. when I spoke with them. The storm was making a big hook around N.E. Illinois and N.W. Indiana, and I suggested they immediately head west on I-80 while there was a big clear center to the circulation, and get on I-55 in Illinois and skeedaddle south toward Cairo and cross into Missouri above Sikeston. From there, they could continue on I-55 south to West Memphis and hook onto I-40 west, hopefully missing the snow that's piling up in Missouri if they were to try I-44 out of St. Louis as they'd planned ... or worse, I-70 to KCMO. I called them a couple times today, but only got their voice mailbox. Have absolutely no idea where they are, but it's now snowing across a lot of Indiana. We're up to about 2 inches now down here in the southwestern tip of the state. I'll go look at the radar for Illinois and south ... pv
