Thanks, guys, for updating. I've been checking in every couple of hours to check on the guys. I really appreciate the updates. I am following their progress and feel better as they come further south. Seems to me that coming down to Memphis then on over to NM is a long way to go. But I am not a driving coordinator, ya know

Okay Boys, I asked the Big Rig driving husband of mine last night what he thought about your routing and he Likes it He agrees with the suggestion to get south as quickly as possible. I've never been to Memphis, so I wasn't familiar with that particular route. I was worrying thinking about some of the smaller routes we've gone taken through Arkansas in the car on vacation, but he's done the I55 route lots in a semi while I've been home playing with tomatoes. Dispatch Away ;D Glad to hear the Darthardly Duo are making some progress in all this winter weather stuff.

Ok....just got off the phone with Rev....they are in Mississippi....he-he....They missed I-40, by only a few miles. Hes turned around and will be headed for Little Rock soon. I told him, man...your only 3 hours from my house, and he said, well I might as well keep going and see you. I said that would put you 6 hours behind, and Spud is waiting...lol... Nice thought, and I really would like to see the Darthster, but like i told him, just trying to get you to NM as fast and easiest as possible... too be cont...

Blane, Hubs is home this morning. He just suggested that they could continue on down to your house, then take 20 across to meet up with 40 in DFW

Okay, for those of you who are following this journey exit by exit ... cuz you never know when they need to pull over for more diesel fuel, more propane, more bologna, beverages, wee wee stops, etc. ... here is the routing for I-40 through Arkansas: www.milebymile.com/main/United_States/Arkansas/Interstate_40/United_States_Arkansas_road_map_travel_guides.html
Notice: These routing charts start at the WESTERN state line as that's how the exits are numbered ... west to east, or south to north, since north or east always is at the top of a map.
So, anyway, go to the bottom of the green chart, and the first exit on I-40 on the Arkansas side of the Mississippi River from Memphis, Tennessee. Okay? "Mound City Road" at mile marker 281, that means they got 281 miles to go to hit the WEST boundary of Arkansas with Oklahoma.
Look up the chart just a few exits to Exit 277, 4 miles west, that's I-55 where they should've turned toward Little Rock in the first damned place!
So anyway, by now they should be motoring along westward through some extremely flat land that is the ancient Mississippi River delta long, long ago. The fields on either side of I-40 thru this stretch are flatter than a sheet of matzo bread, and mostly there's wide expanses of rice paddies, which today look like any other grain fields except you can see very low berms of earth meandering along the contour lines to hold back a shallow depth of water during the growing season. they lay these berms out using GPS equipment and satellite data to follow the otherwise imperceptibly slight contour fluctuations. It's all very modern.
I'm posting these charts so anyone who happens to be in contact with them can let them know where the hell they are, cuz they need some guidance from time to time. You can also use the Internet in conjunction with these charts to let them know which exits provide what particular services they may require.
I'm going to be away from the Net for several hours today, taking a dog to the vet, and some other errands.pv

Okay, just talked to Darth. They're farther along than I thought!
They got turned around and back into Arkansas around 9:00 a.m. CST, and are now past Little Rock and on their way to Ft. Smith, AR. This is much better than I thought!
They've had a very interesting past 24 hours, but I'll leave out the gory details, and let Darth fill you in as he pleases. Mum's the word for the moment ... hahahahaha!
Anyway, on to the vet for me (I'm at home right now pickin' up this little 8-week old Shih-tzu/Bijon Frissee pup of my daughters) and will check back with the Shuttle Craft later this afternoon.

Just spoke with Darth. They are now a bit west of Gore, Oklahoma, and it sounded like they're wearing down for the day. They haven't committed to stop though, but they're about 140 miles east of Oklahoma City. They're very close to Muskogee, home of the Okies who don't burn their draft cards down on Main Street, etc. maps.google.com/maps?rlz=1T4ADFA_enUS360US361&q=gore+oklahoma&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=Gore,+OK&gl=us&ei=VvsHTe6vFIa8lQft4ainDg&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBgQ8gEwAA pv
