I need to straighten up my garden, mulch it real heavy, measure it off and do the preliminary staking, and then count my planting spaces before deciding.
Farmer down the road has his place up for sale. The one with the produce stand and 25-acre market garden. Airport is negotiating for property to expand runway and my plans to start the plants in his hoophouses and plant out two long rows of plants are currently up in the air. Looking at alternatives next couple of weeks.

I haven't committed anything to paper yet. I know I want to grow the few things I've requested/received in trades this year, and the oldest seeds in my collection tat I haven't tried yet - been trading just long enough that some of them are getting to a ripe old age... I also want to get my paws on Microtom and do some crosses with it.

So far I have nine Red Robins up that I'll mostly give away. Still have to work on my list.

I will probably plant more than one of those JT. I also have 3 other maters I plan on growing out. Pork Chop, BTD and BTDH. I also want to grow some stand-bys such as Moneymaker, Chadwick's Cherry and Eva Purple Ball. Oh, and Tom's Yellow Wonder and Marianna's Peace. Dang, the list is growing all out of control. Oh, I got seeds for Summer Cider too.

Hey Sarah. The Gurnsey is likely not going to come true, at least, dan was trying to re-segregate last I knew. I grew about 8 last year from seeds dan provided, none were true, but they were pretty good. I'm starting next years list, hehe. Anyone have spare Big Ben seed come next Jan. keep me in mind! This year's list won't be finalized for a bit longer.

LandofOz moved? No more evil neighbors? No more beautiful soil, well, just another chance to improve the earth.

Pep, I know it doesn't grow true but I've grown plants from the same packet for the past 3 years and have had the same wonderful plant each time. Dan said it looked true but at this point, I don't care if it's not true 'cause it's so tasty. I should probably call it an accidental hybrid or something so as not to cause confusion.
Land, yup, no more evil neighbors. Well--the house next to us is vacant - but surely no one evil could afford a $130,000 house. I'm already working on securing myself a load or two of fresh (and aged) horse manure/bedding.

hey, a good tomato is a good tomato, call it guernsey until someone proves you wrong I'm not sure it was true my first year growing, but the same original seed a year later made some good tasting 'maters!
