Are you digging out Mulio? I hear KC got dumped on pretty good yesterday and last light. We were kinda lucky down here. We might have 2-3 inches of the white stuff. Seems to have moved out now. Everyone in this neck of the woods, stay safe today. Those to the east... get you snow shovels ready.

Hey Dave! Hope things are goin well. Yeah, we are getting ready for more. UNCLE! Already had 40+ inches here. Yep, things are goin' good here.... but ouch 40" of snow ?! I'd be yelling uncle too. Our winter has been in one of those patterns, where "so far, knock on wood", the larger systems have been tracking north of us. During the fall, I moved about 30 miles south of my former location, and was wondering how the drive would be on bad roads. I was about 3 miles from work, now 30. Got a taste of it this morning, but it wasn't too bad. Other than the snowy winter, I hope all is well with you. First day of spring is two months from today. ;D

Hey Dave! Hope things are goin well. Yeah, we are getting ready for more. UNCLE! Already had 40+ inches here. JT, I know that's a considerable amount of snow, but you still have a ways to go to tie the record for snowfall in Ct which was 115.3 inches for the 1996 season. And check out the Stats for March 11th, 1888...can you imagine 40" of snow falling at once back then? No snow plows, no snowblowers...."When I was a young un, I used to walk 14 miles to school on top of 40" of snow..." www.ct.gov/dep/cwp/view.asp?a=2688&q=322366Giardiniere, Drive Safely!!!

We weren't so lucky in this latest round. Tuesday we got 20" of snow. In my 52 years, I've not seen so much at one time, and hope it's another 52 years before I see it again. ;D On top of that, it was -12 degrees yesterday morning.
How's everyone else doing?

Dave I have not seen a worse winter than this one. We have close to 80" of snowfall so far and while thats not near an all time record for CT, its different than any other in that we have been much colder than normal and there has been ZERO melting in between. The streets have become so narrow they are barely passable by two cars. Banks on sides of the streets are above mailboxes. Piles of snow at intersections make it impossible to see cars coming from other directions without pulling halfway out into traffic. It is definitely a winter for the ages. Record snowfall for an entire winter in CT is 112". Like I said we are at 80+ with a long way to go yet.

Snow heading your way Wendy. We are getting some right now and it is pretty deep where drifting has been going on. In the front yard here it is a little over ankle deep. Back roads still have snow on them and the temp is 25.

My county had the Blizzard Warning on February 2nd with 13" and 14" of new snow reported in the area. Had a knee-deep drift on the steep part of my roof so I did lots of roof raking. Just got this picture from that afternoon. This Ground Hog saw his shadow! Here I've been snow blowing at my neighbor's with my beard tucked into the parka.
