Two users have reported potato leaved seedlings of #127, Red: Tula in Italy has one potato leaved seedling of 3. Rusalka ("fairy") in Poland has one potato leaved seedling of 2. Picture by Tula: How this came about is not known until Kozula gives her version, but if the "mother" of #127 is heterozygous for leaf form (either because of an outcross or a mutation, both of which are quite rare), a fourth of all plants will exhibit potato leaves.

#139 is slow to germinate and not strong at it either. How old are the seeds?

#139 is slow to germinate and not strong at it either. How old are the seeds? Seeds are from 2010. #139 at least, but probably all, so they should be fresh enough.

Well, out of 5 seeds planted on 18 March '11, I have three up today. One stick-tight, on dead head, and one with cotyledons still folded in prayer.
By comparisons, the rest of the tray, with 12 other varieties, varying from 4 - 10 seeds per variety, are showing 75 - 100% germination with no other dead heads and only a couple or three stick-tights.
Several other trays planted within same 48 hour span also doing very well except for two varieties from commercial seed vendors that are equally as slow and weak as #139.
I'll plant the remaining #139 seeds in April to ensure getting a couple more plants to grow out. I'd really like to get a large batch of the seeds this year because I think it's about the best looking green-when-ripe/green stripe tomato I ever saw in pictures.

Damroka in Poland has also reported, that she got one potato leaved seedling of 3 #127s. All were sown on 17 February. Kozula does not remember, who were #127's parents, but we can still assume, that a fourth of all plants will have potato leaves.

I decided to stop holding out hope that the last #125 would pop out. Sigh. Guess I'll have to settle for 20/21 plants #125 - 6/7 #132 - 7/7 #137 - 7/7

Some of the seed didn't "feel" right to me. However, I had good germination rates on everything except #139, 3/10 and #36 2/10.
I didn't get any #127...hmmmm....

Anna29 in Poland reported, that she had good results with #131 (paste) and a pink heart (#176). Here is a picture of her #176: So far #131 has only cotyledons , and she didn't post pictures.

Today I dropped some (about 10) #127 into the dirt, but there's still 10% chance/risk, that there'll be no potato leaved (even with 8 seedlings). I also sowed "old" Kozulas (#20, #28, #29, #30, #32, #35). Even if #29 and #30 are from Black Pear x Big Zebra, all may be RL, if PLs were culled in previous generations.

Pelasia in Poland sowed about 8 seeds of #127, and one is potato leaved.
