Hey Everyone, I attempted to create a few videos this past weekend. I was having a tough time with converting them and getting the file size under control and so each of these clips are rather short - about 2 minutes each. The video quality is pretty good but I will have to play around with the conversion process to get it crystal clear and soon as for whatever reason the video makes my eyebrows look like I'm trying to do an impersonation of Groucho Marx. I did figure out how to convert long playing videos into small file sizes so future videos will be much longer. The two videos below are focusing on specific varieties. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oji6hemDYLQwww.youtube.com/watch?v=GFvwOA9LHa4&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

Yes, very well shot! The Distorted leaf brandywine, could you explain this?

Thanks, guys.
Those leaf distortions are showing up on most of my plants. I've observed them for the past couple of years and we've been trying to nail down what the cause is.

Thanks for the video's. I'm not working today and I want to do things in the garden, but it's 82 degrees and feels like 90 to me. I keep coming back inside to cool off, by the computer of course. I'm not getting a whole lot done right now.

Well done!
A quality video is worth (several) thousand words.

Thanks Everyone......
I did get something wrong in that video. On that last row of plants shown in the video the first plant of that row I referred to it as Casey's Pure Yellow but it is actually Old Timey Yellow. I hope I get the size fruit off of that plant like I did in 2009. That plant produced one of the largest fruit I've ever seen from my garden. But there it was laying on the ground with about 25% of it eaten by a raccoon.
Brandywine has always done very well for me and sets fruit nicely in our unpredictable climate here.
Yeah, I wasn't expecting near 40 fruit on Black Krim and especially this early but note that many are only marble size at the moment. And who knows if I will actually harvest that many. Seed source for BK was Baker Creek.
Regarding an electric fence, I've been shocked a few times over my lifetime but of course by accident and I would not typically grab an electric fence to test it but to be honest, I did not believe a solar powered electric fence could deliver a shock of that intensity.

Jay, your plants look fantastic. How are the disease issues going? I couldn't listen with the sound up at work. ;D

Thanks.....the herbicide / disease issues seem to be over for the most part. It appears to have persisted in a couple of varieties but for the most part, everything seems to have improved. I'm nearing the 500 mark on total fruit harvest thus far. Should be there by this weekend.

Wow Jay. Those are some great videos!
I feel proud when I can count my tomatoes above 20. It sounds like you deal with just as many diseases as I do. It seems that crop rotation is the only way to combat some things.
