But the spring weather here in Central Texas has been bizarre to say the least. And it hasn't gone unnoticed by my tomato plants. One day almost 100 degrees, next week in the 70's. Back in drought conditions. And, the wind! I have resorted to building a portable wind break. The wind break seems to be working though as blooms are setting again. All this did not deter me from enjoying my first tomato sandwich of the season this week with a nice (although somewhat small) Cherokee Purple. Many, many napkins were involved.
