Despite the nasty spring with damage due to the winds, storms and hail, first tomatoes were on the little plate as of yesterday, Lambada, growing in the 10 gal container... I know, no beefsteak, but not bad for Zone 7 Few more today: Looks like Danko is next on the list (also in 10gal container) Regards, D

And Jaune Flammee finally gave us few ripe fruits. I've tried growing it in the past 2 years, but first year, deer ripped them out, last year one of few varieties to fail in the harm of the SWV. At last, year 3, I'm able to try these: For 50 days tomato, very refreshing, tart gel with sweet flesh, and does well in the container indeed! Regards, D
