First tomatoes for 2011 - Lambada, Jaune Flammee

Despite the nasty spring with damage due to the winds, storms and hail, first tomatoes were on the little plate as of yesterday, Lambada, growing in the 10 gal container... I know, no beefsteak, but not bad for Zone 7

Looks like Danko is next on the list (also in 10gal container)

And Jaune Flammee finally gave us few ripe fruits. I've tried growing it in the past 2 years, but first year, deer ripped them out, last year one of few varieties to fail in the harm of the SWV.

At last, year 3, I'm able to try these:



For 50 days tomato, very refreshing, tart gel with sweet flesh, and does well in the container indeed!
