I am growing both Speckled Roman and Casady's Folly this season. No offense to the breeders but what good is a pretty striped skin when you make sauce out of them? I can't answer that question to anyone interested in buying the plants. They aren't special inside or when sliced so the stripes are just for looks on the plant I guess. Speckled Roman was highlighted in the Minneapolis paper on Wed and the plants sold out on Thurs.

Minnie - I found Casady's Folly to be a delight. Concentrated fruit set of beautiful and tasty fruit on a compact plant. These tomatoes last year here in Prior Lake were eaten within hours of harvest, and livened up any salad or tasting tray. I used this a lot in crossing and have a couple plants again this year. I am less impressed with Speckled Roman.

I had a part time helper that took a damaged Speckled Roman plant home last year and babied it in a big tub. All summer he kept commenting on how productive it was and how sweet they were eaten just off the plant.
