Since I would be considered a "newbie" here, I'll ask the question that's is probably on the reader's mind here. What has happened to this place? I see many of the main posters are gone and no one else seems to be posting anything. It is the height of the tomato season and no one is here. Why? What happened? I must have missed something?

I think you will find it is because we are all just too busy in the garden right now. This happens on most of the gardening forums, when you have people that really get out there and sweat on their soil.

I agree with what has been said.
Like my grandfather I really enjoy red ripe tomatoes with a little salt and mayo between two pieces of bread. That takes the need to talk about tomatoes away pretty quick.
This is probably the same reason why they send me gardening catalogues around Christmas time.

Cloz, I agree with mule....which is scary. This time of year is pretty busy and I certainly cannot find the time to post as much. However, people come and go. Just the nature of things. Glad to see you're posting though. Have been spending most of my time in the garden doing crosses in between all of the RAIN we've had in CT lately. I will start posting some of the crosses I have made once they have taken and the fruit set and are safely harvested

Rain you say? Arggghhhhh....I almost drowned trying to put the garbage out this morning. Good News is, I won't have to water the container plants today Welcome to TTG, Cloz.

Yeah, I don't have much going on either. Nothing edible yet in my garden Another month and I should have some cherry tomatoes, or at least close to having some.

Looks to me like this place has died.

If it has indeed died; it's gone the way of most tomato forums riddled with large egos.
Which is sad; as I've often said - we aren't curing cancer; just growing tomatoes.
It's disheartening; life is too short to get caught up in the nonsense.

What is going on at this forum? Did everyone move someplace new? The only activity I see has to do with kitchens and pensions...that strikes me as odd.

Which is sad, I thought this had great potential for being a great tomato forum but there are other garden forums...
