We have record high heat indices this week. The windows are fogged on the outside of the house! The dewpoints were in the upper 70s! I suppose many others are having this humidity, heat and rain. Anyone want to share how their tomatoes are doing in it? basically it is too hot and humid for me even to spray copper.

Yes, heat is on here too. Plants are loving it but the dew points are in the upper 60s and higher for the rest of week. Crossing season is officially over me thinks.

I am in Minnesota as well. I am hoping that after this week more fruit will set, as I still don't have a ton of fruit yet on my vines.

I've already had enough blossom drop. We hit 92F today at Mom's and her windows have some fog on the outside, too. Even some condensation. We're slated to be awfully hot and humid for the next week. Ugh! I just sawed into the downspout at Mom's at an upward angle. I then attached a piece of metal to the spout to run into my old rain barrel like a gutter. Rain is one county away. Come on, rain!

Hot and humid here. A storm came through 2 weeks ago and took off 1/3 of my roof, which is still lying in my backyard waiting for the Insurance Claims Adjuster. Otherwise storms have been coming in most afternoons and raining every 3-4 days. I'm starting to get leaf spotting- even on my Asparagus beans!
Good weather for my Yamato Cucumber though.

Yes, every day I hold my breath as I look at the maters and check for disease. Record humidity and no wind and record temps- not a perfect mix. wet and nasty!

Temperature yesterday was 106F (with the Humidity). Todays forecast is 128F (48C) with the Humidity (105 without). We moved less than two weeks ago. I transplanted approximately 18 tomato plants, 6 peppers and 2 cucumbers along with several perennial herbs. I've lost two herb plants, and some of the tomatoes are still struggling. However, I water every evening once the sun is off the garden. This morning, I am happy to report that I have two new cucumbers growing and several small tomatoes. Oh yes and the watermelons and pole beans have germination! If this garden can provide in these kinds of temperatures, then I can't wait to see what it does in a less than extreme year

I've had to water twice this year(don't usually water at all)and with the heat and humidity there are still lots of fruit set and a few ripening. The ripening process is slow going but there will be tomatoes and peppers sometime this summer.

I have abandoned my plants to the elements. The strong will survive, the weak won't. I still water them if we don't get rain. I think I've watered once this month. I do need to get out and trim the dead foliage to give the plants some chance of survival.

I drank 100oz before 1:30 today in the garden and didn't have to pee. Dang I sweated a lot! The tomatoes are so disappointing. Especially since I was so excited about them and they looked so good earlier.
