Put up signs explaining yourself.
Pick the crossed fruit at first breaker stage.
Leave baskets of ripe fruit on other side of fence.

Time to put up some deer fence with a locking gate to save what's left. That's just awful. Sheesh!

Ever been hungry folks? I guarantee they'd rather not be doing it.

No doubt hunger is a problem, stomping around in my garden and scarfing down things that I don't want eaten (crosses) would also be a BIG problem. This isn't a war zone......yet. If you're hungry, show some respect and knock on my door. I give away hundreds of pounds of food every year.

Next year, plant some hybrids along the fence within easy picking distance, they will not go farther than that, you feed the homeless and the racoons and your crosses are left alone.

Gee Mule,
Sorry to hear about that. I know what it is like to lose a crop.
I agree with signs, more food near the fence and the fact that people will do about anything when they need food.
I hope that the rest of your crop is kept safe!
