Still looking great overall though I learned that I cant be late to water them when using bottom heat. Nearly all recovered but lost Doe Hill and most of the Peppino f2s.
i'll be repotting friday to 4" pots and moving to a 5 x 10' low tunnel. if freezes come it might be a lot of work moving flats. Looks like a good start.
added a few more new pepper seedlings including pyramid and an eggplant called barbarella.

Peppers grow so well here. Perhaps I should just stick to peppers instead of tomatoes.

Why one or the other? grow some of both!
Update: they look good so far in the low tunnel. plastic is just 1.5 mil, so not a lot of insulation value. so far more clouds than sun and most nights in the 30s. I guess they call it vernalization. nights next week look warmer in 40s.

I have fewer superhots this year, more focused on savory and early ripening thick fleshed peppers, many have yellow flesh at onset. Mariachi f1 was really outstanding again last year. Also still trying to find that really vigorous dwarf that flowers in low light for overwintering on the windowsill. I'd be happy to find varieties that grow well outdoors in May before nights warm up here. Peppers seem a lot less cold tolerant in spring than tomatoes. order in sublists reflects numbers of plants, so is not alphabetical.
