I will be away for 3 days. By the time i remembered to buy a timer it was too late to go to the store. So i left the light on over the seedlings. what is the worst that can happen?

Glad to hear that, I'd wondered if there was any need to have a dark cycle during vegetative growth. I have gone with 24 hour light before, if anything, I think there's no benefit over a 12 or 16 hour cycle, 16 possibly being best? More than that prbably just wastes energy.

Agreed on tomatoes and peppers. I've never had adverse results from 24 hour lights when they are small.
I noticed my ailsa craig onions appear to be bulbing, while still small plants under a 19 hour day. They are now outside, so we'll see how they react.
