I saved seed from from the Black Cherry that I grew last year. This year out of 21 seedlings, one is potato leafed.
Last year was my first year with a garden and I did grow one PL variety. However, if I understand correctly, this is a recessive gene and couldn't be an accidental cross from my garden and display this gene in an f1 cross.
I don't know if I'm making sense, but I just wonder how this could have happened. I'm about to thin my seedlings and wonder if it would be worthwhile to grow this out.
This is all new to me, so I'm sorry if I sound like a complete idiot. ;)

Mule,
Are you saying that it could simply be a Black Cherry that produces PL without a cross?
