This weeks choice is a good one folks!! And not suprisingly, has some controversy attached. I am going to label this as "Special select" Because that was what Pap calls them!! These are loaded with tomatoes here at the Death Star, the first to bear along with my OSU. Dr. Carolyn seems to have a problem with this being called special select, however this is not like the Indian stripe I have heard about, this is a much larger version than average. Pap has painstakingly selected for earliness, size and quantity. And I am seeing that pay off right now as we speak. I also have it next to Cherokee Purple which is producing smaller fruit and not in numbers. Spudakee is also 3 rows down and is also doing better. I am not knocking CP, it has always been a good tomato, but I have no qualms about replacing it with a superior version with more yield. There is also supposed to be a version of CP that was given to a member of this board by a Native American, and She says she will send me some seeds!! They also seem to have a different growth pattern than normal CP. Anyway hopefully you that have grown Paps stuff know that it is never BS, and always produces just like he says!! Hopefully he will pipe in here and show as a nice pic!!!

Yeah, like, uuuh, I've grown the regular Indian Stripe for a few years and love it, esp in a container.
Can we do Neves Azorean Red next?

I am growing it this year, so far it is doing very well in this heat we are having. It is setting tons of fruit, but they are still fairly small. I will keep you updated on the progress. Thanks, Papavic, for the seeds again. I am sharing them with other growers here in Slovenija. There will be more of them growing here next year...
