Blender Vitamins Juice Fiber www.durgan.org/URL/?WVDXP Blender Vitamins Juice Fiber Pictures of the process. Various fruit and vegetables are cut into pieces and blended to make juice. I use enough water to blend easily, and to make the juice liquid enough to swallow similar to canned juice. The initial blending is then mixed by dumping back and forth into two pots, and blending a second time, then putting into containers and stored in the refrigerator. The quantity shown is about a 7 to 10 day supply for one person at a consumption rate of one or two glasses per day. The whole fruit is consumed so the fiber is also present, as opposed to just squeezing the juice, and some of the fruit and vegetables have almost no juice. I utilize what is readily available from my garden or the supermarket in the off season. Usually the soft, pulpy fruits are avoided, since they fiber usually floats, meaning it does not mix well. Total preparation time about 50 minutes.

since they(sic) fiber usually floats, meaning it does not mix well.Have you tried using a small amount of digestive enzymes on them? Or maybe a fat like flaxseed oil? They may be hydophobic. I try to not modify. The pulpy fruits can be used, but I found by trial and error they are better eaten separate. Certainly there is enough variety used, so one gets sufficient nutrients. I do take 1000 I.U. of flax seed oil daily. I tried smashing the flax in a coffee grinder, which is fine. but all I want is the oil so decided the capsule route. Whole flax seeds do not break down in the digestive track. I

I see you have a Hamilton Beach...if you bought a new juicer, would you get a Vita-Mix 5000, K-Tec, Healthmaster 100 or something else Durgan?

Any old blender that operates does a fine job. This particular one has been used for about two years. and cost about 30 dollars. I did have one that cost about 100 dollars and the plastic coupling kept burning. I got it replaced under warranty and had a repeat. I see no requirement for an expensive blender, since all they do is drive a blade. There is too much hype over these items. One that lasts and spins is all I require and preferably at a low price. I once bought a centrifuge type juicer and it was a pain in the ass to clean. And all I got was the juice. The fiber was separated on the wall of the unit. Many types of produce, that I now use, have almost no juice, so I now eat the whole fruit blended.
