Another update. Got to see my Doctor OK. He is ordering some blood work to check a few things.Got all my scrips except one.Plavix is not covered under the Adult Medical Program so I am to take aspirin as I have been. Also mentioned what Pap had said. Doc can't figure out why the Cardiologist has not put me on Altace or Coreg. Which is I think what prompted him to ask for blood work.I might add that Altace is another not covered med but Doc says there is another one that does the same thing that is.
I should note that he said he suspects some changes will be in store once he gets the test results back.In the mean time I am taking my scrips as I should. Will keep y'all updated.

Just thought of something...Father-in-law was on both Coreg and Altace. He got his as samples from his dr. Might be worth asking...

Did not get that far but there is I think a generic for coreg.I think we can do the same thing with these two as with plavix and get manufacturer to send some.

If there is a generic form, I bet you can get the prescriptions real cheap from places like Walmart. Most of their generics are $4.00 for a 90 day supply. Check into it and get back to me.
I am really worried about you. I would really like to see you on the meds you need.
Did you check with area churches? I know that all the big churches here will help with utility bills and food. Most also have senior citizens that help out in other ways.

I think my Doc has something in mind but wants to run the blood work first before committing to certain meds. I really think he will put me on an ace inhibitor as he called it by the time I see him again at the beginning of next month. He is a good man and I do trust him. At least I have pretty much everything I am supposed to have. Also as we know with all the veggies I am going to grow that will also be a boost for my health. We are not getting much in the way of fresh produce right now which I consider a very bad thing. A great many of the fruits and veggies have the antioxidants that are needed for a persons health. With these missing for an extended amount of time Doctors freak out as much as they do about other things that are not good for their patients. I know you and the rest of the gang are worried and really shows how much you all care.I will be keeping on top of things now that I am able to see the doctor and have my meds and most likely will have others that you and Pap where worried about me getting.I don't intend to go anywhere any time soon.before you know it we will all be planing for 2012 .
