Blane's right. You have lots of online pals and it seems to me, that your life is filled with Family and Friends right in your own backyard.
Hopefully, it's just a temporary issue for you.

Ask your doc about Cymbalta. Works wonders for me, and nothing else seems to.

Ask your doc about Cymbalta. Works wonders for me, and nothing else seems to. Watch out, my brother got suicidal, pretty sure it was the Cymbalta. I had an adverse reaction when switched from 30 to 60. My Dr. was prescribing it for diabetic neuropathy(nerve pain). Was ok at 30, but at 60 I got sick(physically). Tom

Tom And they put my brother on 60 twice a day. Everybody reacts differently. Absolutely do watch for warning signs if you try it. The main reason my doc put me on it was that it also helps with neuropathic pain.

I got one of those SAD lamps in December. It took a couple weeks, but it now seems well worth the money. I wish I would have gotten one years ago!!! I'm guessing the 11th can't come soon enough I feel for you!

I deal with SAD most years. You don't want to talk, you don't post, you are bored with everything. I moved my computer right in front of a south facing window, and about 11 am daily, I am almost blinded by the sun. It helps alot.
But, what helps me even more is very close attention to my diet. I even get bored with food and don't want any. So, I start with one bite of each item that I know that I need, and work my way up from there. Soon, you will be hungry again, and ready to eat, don't let the junk food lure you into wrong choices that can get you into more trouble. Just one bite of each thing that is 'good for you' even if you don't want it, will begin your body on the road to healing itself again. Then set yourself some small, very small exercise goals, not a major routine, just a two minute round and increase this time, as you begin to feel better. Then go stand on the porch for one minute and breathe some outside air... you will be amazed what difference you can make in just baby steps. They are right about vitamins B and D, but also minerals like phosporus and potassium can have a major influence, I snack on dried apricots to help in that area. You just have to fight back, in small ways. Meds might just make it worse, be very careful with them. Use food for your meds it is much safer. But, do let the doctor look you over, there may be a medical issue causing this.

You can buy full spectrum light bulbs at health food stores. They can be put in any light fixture. Lack of sunlight can cause winter blues. Vit D and the B complex supplements are very important to winter well-being. Personally, I would be leery of a doctor being prone to prescribing drugs for something which can probably be easily conquered through more natural means. Most of today's drugs cause kidney and liver damage, besides which, drugs are EXPENSIVE.
