regular exercise, good diet, (unprocessed, as close to the way it grows as possible) sunshine, proof of a bright future to look forward to, usually keeps us going. I know, some of us can't see a bright future, but a little reading matter of a certain type can help there. www.creationscience.com/onlinebook/ www.whiteestate.org/books/gc/gc.aspI'm beginning to think that instead of investing in a decent house when we're young we should invest in a decent greenhouse instead and live in whatever we can find cheap, or just live in the greenhouse until something better can be obtained. Take the food budget of our income and use it to pay heating and cooling expenses on a moderate size greenhouse and then eat out of it. Health would certainly benefit with the good diet and a pleasant place to enjoy the sun when it shines no matter what it feels like outside. And then with suitable produce markets around like there should be, any excess that's marketable should be easy to profit from. With the technology that keeps improving there's good ways to run greenhouse on not a lot of input, like using a cavitation pump heater/boiler to heat water and run it through pex tubing under the floor and growbeds, those things are 180% efficent. A few halide and sodium lamps to supplement lack of sunshine would be good. I am working on technology to run it all on virtually no input, technology that's been around for well over 100 years but was ignored in favor of energy company profit making.

Hey Reubent, Very interesting. Is it possible for you to open a new thread, and tell us all more about your greenhouse heating that is so efficient. And the rest of the story.... MaryAnn
