hello, i am an indigenous seed keeper and breeder, and i was raised in my mother's kitchen garden learning the basics then. Having devoted my life to agriculture (the word agriculture seems to be a misnomer though, considering we garden in real soil of the real culture, not separate) and the sciences involved therein, i am in the process of my lifelong education, and i am here to keep seeds. i wish to participate in this forum with the intentions of establishing seed trade partners, and furthering my education. i keep over 100 varieties of heirloom and endangered fruits flowers vegetables herbs and grains, please contact me if you would like to exchange trade lists. my current tomato trade list is 38 in number. i work alone most of the time, save a friend here and there. i use no irrigation, chemicals, fertilizers or composts, nor tilling. i use hand tools, with no assistance from machines or animals. the practices of keeping seeds and soils responsibly are impossibly interconnected, and my seeds are used to untilled dry farmed soils, rich with decaying matter. they are used to being interplanted and colonized by pests and their predators. many of my diseased plants do not slow production. thats enough about me. if you wish to contact me please feel welcome to do so, i check my mail daily. tomatoes in the photo include: yellow brandywine, kentuky beefsteak, nyagous, japanese black trifele, green zebra, purple calabash, manzano, black brandywine, long brandywine, blosser pink, and caspian pink. taken summer 2010.
