Hope Everyone Found lots of different coloured Tomatoes, or at the very least, seeds for a variety of tomatoes on the lawn this morning. ;D If not, I suppose a chocolate easter bunny, eggs or flowers would do in a pinch? The weather this weekend is gorgeous, although the nights are still quite Crisp. Much too early for planting in this area, but I'm hoping this is a Good Omen that 2010 will be a much better gardening season all around. I don't know what I'm serving for Easter Dinner today, but whatever it is, I'm planning the menu around the gorgeous locally grown greenhouse tomatoes I bought at the Farmers Market Thursday morning. Have a Very Happy Celebration with those You love.

Ciao redhead-
We went to the Vigil Mass last night which was beautiful, but also the longest Mass of the year. We were going to go again this morning, but Duane's recovering from a cold, so he's going to take it easy today.
The weather is fantastic! It reminds me of the Easters of my childhood in California. I wore a light cotton dress to Mass last night and saw a fair number of little girls in frilly Easter dresses without coats. That made me smile.
I planted lettuces and daikon radishes yesterday in one of the new beds Duane built. Today, I will transplant kale and leeks. I also want to do some tidying up of the herbs that I didn't get around to trimming in the Fall.
Dinner's simple. I'm roasting stuffed cornish game hens with a blue spice basil jelly glaze and having giant California artichokes to go with that as well as a little asparagus. I'm making a rhubarb mousse for dessert. I really wanted to bring out the early Spring foods for this celebration day. I also didn't want to be stuck in the kitchen all day when it's so nice. The weather is supposed to cool back down significantly next week.
Buona Pasqua a tutti!
